The background and skills of your local Preston physiotherapist
My journey as a Preston physiotherapist and remedial massage therapist began when I completed the Advanced Diploma of Remedial Massage (Myotherapy) at Melbourne Polytechnic in 2014. I was exposed to the benefits of physiotherapy early on while working alongside physiotherapists at several multidisciplinary health clinics in Melbourne. This experience made it an easy decision for me to return to university to commence my own physiotherapy studies at La Trobe University, Bundoora campus.
I was then privileged to work alongside world class physiotherapists during my time at the Hawthorn Football Club. There I gained invaluable knowledge and experience while co-managing soft tissue demands and injury rehabilitation for professional athletes.
Over the eight year stretch I developed elite remedial massage and manual therapy skills, helping patients with a range of conditions. These include persistent low back pain, chronic headaches, shoulder pain, knee pain and many others. I now provide physiotherapy Preston locals enjoy for pain relief and restoration of function.
My approach to physiotherapy is unique. I consider myself a physiotherapist Preston residents rely on for pain relief. I combine a mixture of clinical diagnostic skills and injury rehabilitation knowledge as a physiotherapist with my hands-on myotherapy & remedial massage background in tailoring treatments to the patient’s presentation.
The aim of my treatments is to provide optimal improvements in pain and function. I also believe exercise plays an important role in long term improvements and promote active treatment strategies wherever possible to my patients.
The treatment plans I provide consist of physio treatment, chronic condition management plan, dry needling, deep tissue massage and many more. I am passionate about providing the Preston area with a wide range of quality physiotherapy services. I operate five days a week and am conveniently located at 10 St Duthus St Preston VIC. I offer all physio services including sports physiotherapy to improve the quality of life of all who attend.
